Homemade Ketchup
Make your own ketchup that is more flavorful and healthier than what you can buy in the store.
Servings: 2 8 oz jars

Ingredients
- 1 whole onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 TBSP oil
- 1 ¾ cups tomato paste
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper, ground
- ½ tsp paprika powder
- ½ cup water
- 1 TBSP white vinegar
- 2 TBSP cane sugar
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pan, heat the oil. Add the onion and sautee until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 1 min.
- Add the tomato paste, spices, and water. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until thickened.
- Add vinegar and sugar to taste.
- Fill into clean jars. Keep tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
Notes
- adjust the amount of sugar and vinegar to your liking
- instead of sugar, you can use honey, maple syrup, or stevia to make it keto
